Former BBC Young Musician of the Year keyboard finalist, Helen is an active performer, teacher, mentor, chamber musician and accompanist, based in Bristol.

A former BBC Young Musician of the Year keyboard finalist, Helen currently pursues a busy career teaching and performing around the UK. As well as performing as a soloist, she is in demand as an accompanist, and regularly performs with the Bristol Ensemble and other chamber groups. Helen works with advanced piano students, both privately and at the University of Bristol. She has written articles for several magazines, including Music Teacher magazine. In addition, she works as a mentor on the postgraduate teaching course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, as well as leading the Professional Studies course for the first year undergraduates.

In 2014, Helen founded Blackbird Early Years Music, writing a curriculum to teach the foundations of music to children, aged 3-7. She also runs Children’s choirs, Samba drumming workshops and has created music resource packs for teachers to use.
